ICMQ (Istituto di Certificazione e Marchio di Qualità for products and services in the construction sector), is a no-profit association founded in 1988 by three trade associations in order to promote end foster quality, durability and sustainability of building products and the construction industry, as well as the respect of standards, laws and prescriptions.
Since then the membership of members grew involving many associations of the entire construction industry and the aim of spreading the culture of quality has extended to industrial production and services for construction and the building in general.
In 2001 the Istituto founded ICMQ Spa, operating company that offers certification and inspection services.

ICMQ has identified in Make It Sustainable® the most appropriate means to enhance the efforts of companies towards a more sustainable production. A marketing oriented tool, which shows the investments in sustainability but also in corporate social responsibility.
